Bud Robeson joined William & Mary's Raymond A. Mason School of Business in 1978 and retired in 2014 as professor emeritus. In addition to teaching in the economics and strategy areas, he served as the assistant dean for the Executive MBA program with locations in Williamsburg and Reston. He also served as the associate dean for academic affairs for the business school for seven years and as the university's vice provost for information technology for eight years. Bud has received outstanding teaching awards for both the MBA and EMBA programs. In 2014, he was recognized for outstanding service to Mason School, receiving the Daniel Lewis Service Award. He continues to teach courses in the Mason School.

In 2000 he was appointed by the governor to The Library of Virginia Board and in 2003 was selected to serve as the board vice chair. In 2004 he was elected as board chair for the Library of Virginia. In 2012 he was elected to the board of directors of the Williamsburg Landing, Inc. where he is a member of the finance committee and the executive compensation committee.

Bud's consulting experience includes Landmark Communications, Media General, Washington Gas Light, American Gas Association, Chapman University, Columbia Gas, Edison Electric Institute, Ernst & Young, IBM and Verizon. The consulting activities include executive education programs, economic studies, pricing issues, information technology and competitive strategy.
