W&M Online Master’s and Certificates in Finance Admissions and Application Requirements

Our Online Master of Science in Finance program and Online Certificate in Finance programs are built on practical coursework that emphasizes technical finance skills and provides a rigorous level of practice-driven insights. This is why the Online Admissions Team at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business seeks ambitious applicants with demonstrated success in their professional careers and who possess the motivation to create value in ethical ways.

While successful candidates may come from any professional field, all applicants must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • At least two years of professional work experience OR prospects must otherwise demonstrate their business acumen

Feel free to contact an Admissions Outreach Advisor if you have any questions about whether your work experience meets this requirement.

No GMAT Required

We are committed to holistically evaluating applicants and considering all aspects of their professional and academic backgrounds. We value data, but we know that you are more than a test score. For online students, demonstrated success in professional careers is a key indicator of their ability to succeed in an online program.

For this reason, we do not require GMAT or GRE scores for admission to the Online Master’s in Finance or Online Certificate in Finance programs. Applicants may, however, submit scores for consideration if they believe that doing so will be beneficial to their application.

Don't miss a beat.
