Trina Shields is a section leader for William & Mary's Online MBA program. She serves as an Executive Officer for the U.S. Department of Education with over 20 years of business and executive experience in both the private and public sectors. In her current role, she provides the direction and oversight necessary to carry out the critical strategic agenda, priorities, and functions for career, technical, and adult education, community colleges, adult literacy, and correctional education.
Prior to her current role, Trina has held numerous leadership positions, including Chief Learning Officer for the Department of Health and Human Services and Senior Associate for Booz Allen Hamilton. Her broad experience includes leading across multiple organizations as well as consulting to Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies on their business strategy and operations. Trina is also certified as an Executive Coach and Project Management Professional and has been teaching adult learners at various levels for more than a decade.
