Saurav Pathak is a clinical associate research professor of strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William & Mary. He began this position in 2022.

Before arriving at William & Mary, he was a professor of innovation at various universities, including Xavier University, Kansas State University and Michigan Tech University.

At Xavier, he was the D.J. O’ Conor Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship, Cintas Institute for Ethics Faculty Fellow, Downing Research Fellow for Undergraduate Research, and the Eigler Faculty Fellow for Community Engaged Pedagogy. At Kansas State, he was the Tilford Fellow for Multicultural Competencies and at Michigan Tech University, he was the Rick and Jo Berquist Endowed Chair in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

He is interested in research on strategizing commercialization routes for high-tech startups, technology and innovation management, intellectual property rights protections and licensing strategies, technology adoption and consumer receptivity to innovations and barriers to technological adoption.

His research articles have appeared in FT 50 journals, including Human Relations, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of International Business Studies, and others such as Business & Society, Journal of Small Business Management, Small Business Economics, Entrepreneurship & Regional Development and International Business Review. He has published over 30 articles cited around 2,700 times.
