Nicole Bissessar is an economist, independent broker, and educator. She has more than 10 years of experience teaching and developing online and traditional courses in the fields of finance, macro- and microeconomics, econometrics and quantitative studies, and global studies. She currently serves on the Southern New Hampshire University Economics Faculty, after previously serving as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Kent State University from 2009 to 2018.

As a licensed broker, Nicole also consults privately at for-profit institutions and teaches Sanskrit globally to purohits (Sanskrit: a Hindu priest). She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. She also holds an M.S. and B.S. in Economics from The University of the West Indies - St. Augustine campus in Trinidad and Tobago.
