Josh Hurwitz is a senior economist at the American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) and a lecturer for the Tufts Fletcher School and Raymond A. Mason School of Business. He has nearly 15 years of applied research experience, having previously worked at the National Bureau of Economic Research and the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College. He received a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and holds a BBA in Finance from William & Mary.

He specializes in applied economic research on public infrastructure and national surface transportation programs. His research background spans various policy areas, including retirement security, public pension funding, and public safety.

He has taught at the collegiate level since 2017 as a Head Teaching Fellow for Harvard University. His teaching experience spans various domains, including American economic policy, behavioral economics, corporate finance, and international macroeconomics.

Josh lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife, two young daughters, and a King Charles Cavalier named Crosby. He enjoys sports, collecting vinyl records, and being outdoors.
