Guillermo Rodríguez-Abitia is a clinical associate professor at William & Mary's Raymond A. Mason School of Business. Guillermo has more than 35 years of academic experience in various institutions, and he is very active in editorial work and publications. He currently serves as senior editor of the Data Base for Advances in Information Systems, and as associate editor for Communications of the Association for Information Systems. He also helped found the Latin American and Caribbean Journal of the Association for Information Systems.

He has been an active participant and board member in academic and professional associations, such as de Association for Information Systems, the Latin American Center for Informatics, and the Mexican National Association of Information Technology Education Institutions.

Before joining William & Mary, he held many positions at Tecnológico de Monterrey, including department head, graduate programs director, Data Center director, and director of the Center for the Development of Information and Electronic Technologies. He has also served as the director for Innovation and Technology Development at the General Direction of Information Technologies of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
