Phillip Wagner, or Dr. Phil as most of his students know him, is a Clinical Associate Professor in Organizational Behavior. He teaches a range of courses in management communication and organizational behavior and leads an annual Winter Seminar through William & Mary's Washington DC center.
Phil is an STLI Fellow for Excellence in Teaching and has previously served as a Thomas and Teri Dungan fellow within the Raymond A. Mason School of Business. He has received a variety of awards for his contributions, including the Part-Time MBA Faculty Excellence Award, the MBA Class of 1997 Teaching and Technological Innovation Award, and the William & Mary Building Connections and Bridging Divides Award. In 2025, he was awarded the highest teaching award at William & Mary, the Thomas Jefferson Teaching Award.
Phil Serves on the BBA Advisory Committee, the Dean's Tiger Team for AI curricular integration, and the AACSB steering committees for AoL and Societal Impact. He also serves on the National Faculty Advisory Board for the College Board's AP Business Principles program.
Dr. Wagner received his Ph.D. from the University of Kansas and is a proud Jayhawk.
