Brandy Havens earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA with a concentration in accounting from High Point University. She is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the state of North Carolina and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). Her professional experience includes external auditing at PricewaterhouseCoopers and financial reporting at two publicly traded companies.

Professor Havens began developing and teaching online accounting courses in 2006. She also frequently works as a technical writer and subject matter expert in the development of accounting and finance educational materials and continuing professional education courses for CPAs.

Professor Havens is passionate about helping adult learners achieve their academic and professional goals. Her areas of expertise include SEC financial reporting, auditing, data analytics, CPA exam prep and continuing professional education.
