Expertise: Financial reporting, nonprofit sector, corporate social responsibility

Christine Petrovits joined the faculty at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business in 2013.

Her research focuses on financial reporting and disclosure in both corporate and not-for-profit organizations and has been published in leading academic journals, including The Journal of Accounting and Economics, The Strategic Management Journal, and The Accounting Review. She currently serves on the editorial board of the American Accounting Association’s Journal of Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting.

Dr. Petrovits was an assistant professor of accounting at the George Washington University School of Business and the NYU Stern School of Business. In addition, she was a Paduano Faculty Fellow in Business Ethics at Stern. Prior to earning her Ph.D., she worked as an auditor for KPMG.
