Student Spotlight: Lissa Venosh MBA ’19 Candidate

For professionals, earning a Master of Business Administration degree can make a huge impact in their long-term business potential, but working professionals often have busy schedules, making it difficult to carve away time for classes and studying.

For William & Mary Online MBA student Lissa Venosh, the ability to earn her degree online made earning her MBA possible.

“What I’ve liked most about the Online MBA program is I can literally MBA anywhere,” said Lissa. “It helps me and my busy schedule as a full-time professional, as well as a mother of a five-year-old, as well as all of my other responsibilities and balls that I’m trying to juggle.”

In addition to balancing school, work and other responsibilities, professionals in the Online MBA program are able to network with one another and get to know their peers, all in a virtual environment.

“Two classes in, I’m very pleasantly surprised by how connected I feel to my other classmates, to the faculty,” Lissa said. “It’s more interconnected than I expected to feel.”

Lissa Venosh:

My name is Lissa Venosh. I work at Medtronic in Jacksonville, Florida. What I've liked most about the Online MBA program is I can literally MBA anywhere. It helps me and my busy schedule as a full-time professional, as well as a mother of a five year old, as well as all my other responsibilities and balls that I'm trying to juggle. It's been flexible and it's very appealing.

Before deciding on the Online MBA program, I was most skeptical about being over the internet or being remote. And I was just like, "How can this be accomplished through a virtual environment?" Two classes in, I'm very pleasantly surprised on how connected I feel to the other classmates, to the faculty. It's more interconnected and I feel more a part of the program than I expected to feel, which has really surprised me.
