James “Jim” Armstrong is a section leader for William & Mary's Online MBA program. He has been affiliated with numerous Fortune 500, mid-range and start-up companies, holding internal managerial roles and working as an external consultant and executive coach. His work includes leadership roles on several global projects and developing programs related to leadership performance and organizational change. He has founded and led two successful boutique management consulting firms in the performance industry, focused on leadership development, executive coaching, organizational design and behavioral change management.

Jim has taught in MBA programs as well as in psychology and organizational development departments at the graduate level. His interests include leadership development employing natural intelligence systems, team dynamics for high performance, creativity and innovation, somatic intelligence for learning, and leading and modeling human behavior for improved self-awareness and performance.
