No matter how you look at it, making the decision to talk to your boss about a raise can be a little nerve-wracking. Unfortunately, this type of conversation is often a necessary step of moving up the corporate ladder, especially when you believe the strength of your performance merits the reward in question.

All things considered, it’s unlikely that you’ll receive a raise unless you actually ask for one. That’s why it makes sense to consider how you’d like to approach this conversation with your manager and to put some type of plan into place.
