Chuck DuVal recently retired from his position as a tenured Associate Professor of Finance for the Barney Barnett School of Business and Free Enterprise at Florida Southern College. He is a published author in journals associated with Finance, Real Estate, and Entrepreneurship, and has taught a range of courses, including Financial Management, Investments, Commercial Real Estate Investment, and Entrepreneurship.
Prior to his academic career, Chuck was a stockbroker specializing in tax-advantaged investments and mainframe computer sales to financial institutions before embarking on many entrepreneurial endeavors. For over 20 years, he owned Real Estate brokerage firms and other companies involved with syndicating real estate investment, development, construction, property management, and related services.
Chuck earned a Ph.D. in Finance from Old Dominion University in 2012 after completing an MBA with a concentration in Finance at William & Mary in 2009. He also holds a B.S. in Marketing from Christopher Newport University.
