Kim Chatani is a section leader in the Online MBA program. He served as board member and audit committee chair at Far East National Bank and is the current chairman of the audit committee and chairman of the strategic planning & risk management committee at Ygeia Consulting Group, Inc., a healthcare management consultancy. He is also an advisory partner and board member for Khronicle Partners, Inc., an Irvine-based boutique management consulting company. Additionally, Kim is vice president and board member for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Orange County, CA Chapter.
Kim is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and Forensic CPA (FCPA). He is also a former ‘Big-4’ audit and consulting partner from Arthur Andersen, A.T. Kearney, Inc., and BearingPoint Inc. (formerly KPMG Consulting).
Kim is a committed academic with experience teaching a wide range of accounting, finance, corporate governance, and risk management courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. His focus areas are corporate governance, cybersecurity, and risk management with an emphasis on information and cyber securities risk management. He has co-authored several fraud casebooks published by John Wiley & Sons of New York and is a contributing author for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Examination on IFRS training programs. Kim is also an avid writer and speaker at various conferences on the topic of information security.
