Katie Gilstrap is a section leader for William & Mary’s Online MBA program, as well as a faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University and has served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Richmond at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels. Her teaching areas include marketing principles, marketing research, services marketing, retailing, and communications.
Aside from her teaching responsibilities, she has designed, led, and secured grant funding for study abroad programs focused on international business in Greece, Spain, the Czech Republic, and Scotland. She also serves as a facilitator for the Henry Ford Leadership Academy in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, and serves as a faculty mentor for the European Innovation Academy.
Prior to her academic career, Katie served as senior vice president, director of marketing at First Market Bank, overseeing marketing strategy, product development, advertising, community outreach, and business analysis. Recently, she was recognized by AACSB as one of the recipients of their international 100 Influential Leaders Award. Katie is also the founder of The Barre Boutique in Richmond, Virginia, and writes for various health and medical organizations.
